Lucrezia Reichlin

Lucrezia Reichlin is Professor of Economics at the London Business School and External Fellow at Bruegel. She is an applied macroeconomist and econometrician who has pioneered methods for forecasting with large datasets and for now-casting. In 2011, she co-founded Now-Casting Economics.

Reichlin is a member of the productivity council in France and Chair of the scientific council of GENES in Paris, she is a columnist for Corriere della Sera and Project Syndicate. Reichlin was Director General of Research at the European Central Bank (ECB) from 2005 to 2008. She previously held a professorship at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (1994–2005). She has been a trustee of the CEPR and of the IFRS Foundation, where she led the work for the establishment of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). She has extensive experience as board member of commercial institutions in banking and insurance.

Reichlin is a Fellow of the British Academy and the Econometric Society, an Honorary International Fellow of the American Economic Association, and a Distinguished Fellow of the CEPR. She received the Birgit Grodal Prize from the European Economic Association (2016) and was appointed Grande Ufficiale of the Italian Republic.

Reichlin holds a PhD in Economics from New York University and a Laurea in Economics from the University of Modena.
