Julia Willemyns

Julia Willemyns is co-founder of the Centre for British Progress, a non-partisan think tank focused on infrastructure, energy, technology, and the policy conditions for long-term growth in the United Kingdom.

She previously co-founded and co-directed UK Day One, which she built into a policy platform bridging the science, technology, and innovation community with government ahead of the 2024 general election. Before that, she held roles at Schmidt Futures and the Talent Mobility Fund, and has worked on AI policy, high-skilled STEM immigration, and the commercialisation of research and innovation. She serves on the boards of Renaissance Philanthropy and the Arq Foundation.

She is a Non-Resident Fellow at Progress Ireland. She holds degrees from the University of Oxford and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
