Jesús Saa-Requejo
Jesús Saa-Requejo began his career as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago, where he researched fixed income and derivatives modelling. His work with John Cochrane on asset price bounds in incomplete markets, published in the Journal of Political Economy, has been widely cited in the field.
He then joined Goldman Sachs International in June 1996 as Executive Director on the European Fixed Income Derivatives Trading Desk and later joined Banco Bilbao Vizcaya (BBV) as Chief Investment Officer for fixed income and a board member of its asset management subsidiary, overseeing the development and management of domestic and international fixed income investment strategies. He subsequently co-led Vega Asset Management alongside Ravinder Mehra. He is currently a Board Member at Vega Asset Management Holdings.
Fondation L'Ontano, which he founded in 2020, is a philanthropic Swiss foundation that supports projects in education, social assistance, and the protection of nature and wildlife, primarily in Switzerland, Spain, South America, and Africa.
