Alexis Kohler

Executive Vice President and Chairman of Investment Banking, Société Générale

Alexis Kohler is Executive Vice President and Chairman of Investment Banking at Société Générale, a role he took up in June 2025. He is a member of the bank's Executive Committee.

From May 2017 to April 2025, Alexis Kohler served as Secretary General of the Presidency of the French Republic under President Emmanuel Macron. Previously, he served as Chief of Staff to Emmanuel Macron and deputy Chief of Staff to Pierre Moscovici, successive Ministers of the Economy under President François Hollande.

Earlier in his career, Alexis Kohler held positions at the Direction Générale du Trésor, the IMF, the World Bank, and the Agence des participations de l'État. He subsequently served as Chief Financial Officer of MSC Cruises.

Alexis Kohler is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris, ESSEC Business School, and the École nationale d'administration (ENA).
