Abel Sánchez Triñanes

Abel Sánchez Triñanes is Co-founder and CEO of maestrIA, a Spain-based hybrid tutoring platform that combines human tutoring and AI to address the mathematics learning gap for underserved children.

He previously worked in the European Parliament as Chief of Staff to MEP Luis Garicano, and subsequently as Energy and Budget Policy Adviser for Renew Europe, the pro-European centrist group. In 2024, he served as Fellow in the External Relations Unit of UNHCR in Bogotá, Colombia.

He holds a dual BSc in Economics and Law from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Master of Public Policy from the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Fundación Barrié Scholar.
